Delete your Roamory account
You can delete your Roamory account at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
In the app (takes effect immediately)
Open Roamory, tap "You" at the bottom, then the gear at the top right to open Settings, and choose "Delete account". The screen lists what will be deleted; tick "I understand this cannot be undone" and tap "Delete permanently". Your account and its data are deleted straight away.
If you cannot open the app
Email us from the address you signed up with, with "Delete account" as the subject. We will first confirm the address belongs to the account, then delete it and write back to tell you. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, say so in your message and we will help you confirm the account.
What is deleted
- ·Your account: email address, display name, profile picture, and the link to your Apple or Google sign-in.
- ·The ground you opened, every walk and all location history.
- ·The places you found, your photos, your journal, your level, XP and achievements.
- ·Your name in co-walks, and the ground only you covered in them.
- ·The reports you made and the blocks you set.
All of this is permanently removed from our database when the account is deleted. Signing in or registering again later, even with the same Apple or Google account or email address, starts a brand-new account.
What is kept
Places and photos you submitted that were approved are not taken off the map because the account is deleted, but they are no longer connected to you in any way and cannot be traced back to you. Moderation records that pointed to your account have that link cleared.
